Past Projects/Programs

Driven 2 Destiny Outreach Center  has a long and proud history of providing outreach and support to our communities. We have included a partial list of our successful community programs.

 

Some of our most successful programs include:

 

  • "Bag Lunch For The  Homeless" - In the 2010-2011, our members went out into parks and provided Bag Lunches for those that where homeless .  Richmond Virginia & in Baltimore MD.

  • Program 2. We provide Mother's Day Dinner for those women who lived within the Shelter/Transitional Housing programs located in Durham NC.

  • Program 3. Our Youth went out into the communities to sell candy to raise money for youth events. All Proceeds went toward funding Youth activities throughout the summer . ( Baltimore MD)
  • Program 4 2013 This June/July we gave Children at Greater Full Assurance Church Summer Feeding Program with Books For the Summer Reading Enrichment Reading Program. We gave out 100 books for grades k-7th grade.
  • Program 5 This July we gave 80 books to grades 7th-12 grade to Power House Prophetic Deliverance Ministries to the children that was in their Summer Program
  • June/July 2013 we received over 6oo Books from First Books and The Denver CO National Book Bank. you can go to the most recent photos to view.
  • June- We hosted our first Fundraiser and Food/Clothing  Giveaway we gave out 100 bags of food.along with clothing and shoes.
  • July 18th We received in-Kind Donations from Regis Hair Salon..we posted some of the pictures in the photo section of our website.

  • July 19th we gave away more books and some Hair Care Products to those within the community, The women was grateful to get somethings for their hair so that they can take care of it. 

  • June/July 2013 we received over 6oo Books from First Books and The Denver CO National Book Bank. you can go to the most recent photos to view.

  • June-Dec. 2013 We served over 1000 people that came to get help from our Food Pantry Program
  • Aug-Out 2013 We helped over 25 Single Mother's find shelter and affordable housing. 
  • Dec 2013 Our 2nd Year as a Partner Agency with the Angel Tree Program.We served over 10 families with Children.
  • Spring Break April 2014- We held an online virtual Business session with teens that wanted to go into business for themselves or maybe thinking about an business venture. We had over 75 teens that called in. We gave out helpful information to the teens and parents to get them started with their research into the Job's that they wanted to create or start.
  • July 2014 - We had an Arts and Crafts Summer Fun Camp, where children in the neighborhood came and did Arts and Crafts and ate lunch. 
  • Aug.15th 2014 - We hosted a Health Information Session and linked up with the Nash-Rocky Mount Dept. of Health they sent a nurse out to talk with the parents about getting shots and well childcare check ups for children. We also that day gave out school supplies. There was a light lunch for all the parents and we also signed up some parents to register to vote that day.
  • Sept. 2014 - We participated in National Register To Vote Day. on Sept 23.2014. also on that day we had a Clothing Giveaway in the community
  • Nov. 23rd2014 Thanksgiving Day. We was able to bless 10 families with a Thanksgiving meal. We delivered meals to families in the community. 
  • Dec. 24th 2014 Driven 2 Destiny Outreach Center did its first community Christmas Eve. Dinner . We feed a total of 75 people, even though the number may seem small to you, But to us it was a blessing to help those went without this Christmas Eve. without a meal.
  • Dec. 25th 2014 Driven 2 Destiny Outreach Center along with Destiny Apostolic Int'l Prophetic Worship Center which we are the outreach center for the church has been a partner with The Angel Tree Prison Fellowship Ministry for the past three years, gave out gifts to some of the Children who has either both or one parent that is in Prison it was a success we had a total of 11 Youth.
  • Dec, 2015 Driven 2 Destiny Outreach Center Inc. with the donated toys from Marine Toys For Tots Program we was able to give out toys to over 45 youth in our community ( Even though this was a drop in numbers from other years around the Holidays, we still count it a blessing to still be in position to help an assist families.
  • Dec. 2015 Once again we was able to take part with Destiny Apostolic Int'l Prophetic Worship Center to bless 12 Youth through The Angel Tree Prison Ministry with Christmas gifts.
  • Dec. 2015 with donated coats we was able to give out Warm Winter Coats to local Seniors. 
  • Feb.8th 2016 Essex Bank Richmond,VA hosted a Coat Drive on our behalf Through "One Warm Coat" we was able to give out Coats to the community and surrounding neighbors that still needed a Coat to keep warm through the reminder of Winter.
  • Sept. 2016 We was named Ambassadors of Kindliness and was awarded a Grant from GenerationsOn and through the Partnership with Hasbro was also picked for the Joy Maker Challenge and Hasbro donated 100 Toys to us for the Holiday Joy Maker Challenge 
  • Oct. 2016 We Conducted our 2nd Annual Virtual Online Information Session For Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. There was more then 300 women from around the world that took part in this event, and thanks to our sponsors  we where able to purchase personal hygiene products to give out to women in the community
  • Nov. 2016 We held our 4th Annual Winter Coat Giveaway, With the help of Kappa Alpha Psi Chapter Fraternity Inc. they held a Coat Drive on our behalf through "One Warm Coat" and also donated food to help us bless a family with a Thanksgiving Basket for their family, They also donated Men's Clothing. We was able to give out 60 Winter Coats and also Men's Clothing.
  • Dec. 2016 This Month we Signed families up for Toys For Tots and was able to give out Toys to over 300 Youth in the community
  • Dec. 2016 We Participated in the GenerationsOn And Hasbro Joy Maker Challenge, with the Toys donated to us from Hasbro we was able to give 50 Youth- This was done through the Angel Tree Program, we work with families that have a Child/Children that have either one or both parents in Prison. We was able to bless them with Toys
